What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is quickly becoming the largest participatory racquet or paddle sport both domestically and globally. Pickelball is played on courts similar to badminton or platform paddle tennis with a perforated polymer ball. This ball is a higher tech version of a wiffleball and characteristically has lower rebound properties than balls of other sports. Conceived on Bainbridge Island 1969, the game can be played indoors and outdoors, by adult and youth athletes. While it is easy to quickly develop playing proficiency, the game lends itself to family fun and social interaction, paving its way for becoming the industry’s leading interest.
